Avatar Valentine

Here is my latest creation fully done in Photoshop!

This is a portrait of my Valentine and I as Avatars (yes, from James Cameron's movie for once)... I love his movie btw. Smart man

I printed and framed this as a gift for Ryan and he loved it!

The lava lamp Pandora world is an inside joke and works very well. Some elements are 'mouse' drawn and airbrushed (mainly my face, part of Ryan's face and body). I do love to stay traditional when it comes to illustrating, but I'm starting to really enjoy all the short cuts & pretty effects digitally... the 'undo' button really comes in handy too.

I used several reference pics of the two of us to make us look as realistic as possible. I did 'cheat' on my hair... I imported pics of my hair since I didn't want to draw detail for that... but added my own layers/highlights to it after.

Anywho, hope you like. It makes me giggle when I see this framed picture sitting next to the family pictures in his Living Room. LOL!
